Interviewing on the red carpet isn't always as glamorous as it seems. Interviewers are often times standing long periods of time waiting for talent to arrive. Sometimes, after waiting for talent your interviews can be limited to a short amount of time or even cut! The best way to prepare is to stay ready for the unexpected. Film your interview intros and outros during your waiting time or down time. Let your audience know who you are, where you are, and what you will be discussing in the first 30 seconds of your video recap. Remember these important tips:
Don't allow anyone to take your microphone out of your hand
Stay focused on the goal at hand
Try to keep the talent in frame and on topic
Adjust and always remain calm in chaotic situations when filming
Improvise when needed (Location/Sound) Be Solution Based!
Editing is your friend, don't get distracted!
