Birmingham, AL—Thursday, August 3rd, marked an exciting day for media professionals and enthusiasts at the National Association of Black Journalist (NABJ) Convention Weekend's exclusive event, Media Girls On Tour: Alabama. This thrilling Media Mixer, held at a prominent venue in the heart of Birmingham, gathered over 200+ Media Girls, creatives, bloggers, entrepreneurs, and journalists for an unforgettable experience.
Before the event officially began, promotion on local news platforms raised awareness about the positive impact this event has had on other tour stops, as well as what attendees could look forward to. As the event began, the pink carpet rolled out, setting the stage for the BIGGEST media and entertainment networking social to hit the city. Attendees were treated to an evening of refreshments, connections, inspiration, and knowledge-sharing, celebrating the achievements and contributions of women and men in the media industry.
The Media Girls On Tour: Alabama event offered three captivating panels, expertly curated to cater to the diverse interests and needs of the attendees. Panel discussions were led by April B. for Women in Media, Zach Hinton for Men in Media, and Katrina H for UFE awareness with Dr.Lipman.
